These vigorous **seed-grown** soursop trees are already **1.5 years old**—giving you a huge head start over fresh seedlings! At this stage, they're well-established young trees (typically 2–4+ feet tall depending on growing conditions, with strong roots and glossy, dark green, elongated leaves) ready to transplant and thrive. Seed-grown trees offer genetic diversity and often robust vigor, with potential for excellent fruit quality (sweet, aromatic pulp with large edible seeds)—many produce delicious, large fruits true to type, though variability exists in flavor and size. Expect a fast-growing, evergreen small-to-medium tree reaching 15–30 feet tall if unpruned (easily kept smaller at 10–20 feet with pruning for backyards, orchards, or large containers). These cauliflorous wonders flower and fruit on trunk and branches, yielding enormous, heart-shaped or irregular fruits (often 6–12+ inches long, 3–15 lbs or more) covered in soft green spines. The juicy, fibrous-yet-creamy white flesh is seed-dotted and bursts with that signature exotic tang-sweetness—harvested when soft and yielding to pressure. Main season in Florida: **June–September** (with possible year-round or off-season fruit in ideal conditions). Thriving in hot, humid subtropical climates (USDA zones 10–11 preferred; protect from rare freezes below ~30°F, especially while young), these trees love well-drained soil, full sun, and consistent moisture—relatively low-maintenance once established, with good tolerance for South Florida's humidity. Get ahead with these established 1.5-year-old seedlings—homegrown soursop that brings legendary tropical flavor, massive yields, and backyard paradise vibes! Order your Soursop Tree Grown from Seed (1.5 Years Old) today from Giardino Fresco and start your journey to fresh guanabana bliss. Ideal for: large-space tropical growers, Florida & Caribbean-style orchards, juice/smoothie enthusiasts, exotic fruit collectors, and anyone patient for that unbeatable custard-like tropical treat. Soursop (Guanabana) growing guide These soursop trees are seed-grown. Plant facts at a glance Botanical name: Annona muricata Listed size: 3 gallon (24 in.+ listed) Mature size: A small, upright tree, typically 15–25 ft. Sun: Full sun to light shade. Needs a sheltered spot out of wind. Water: Regular moisture. Water when the top inch dries. Doesn't tolerate flooding. Cold hardiness / USDA zones: One of the most cold-tender Annonas. Zone 10b–11. Damaged near 32°F, so protect it from any frost. Time to fruit: Seedling trees typically fruit in 3–5 years. Taste and uses: Creamy, sweet-tart pulp used for juices, smoothies, batidos, ice cream and sorbet. Container vs. in-ground: Can be grown in a large pot in cooler zones. Bring it in below 40°F. Care Feed young trees every 1–2 months in the warm season. Hand pollination improves fruit set and shape. Pick when the skin turns slightly lighter green and the spines soften. It ripens in a few days. Frequently asked questions How long until soursop fruits? Usually 3–5 years from seed. How cold can soursop handle? Very little. Protect it from temperatures below about 40°F. Why are my soursop fruits misshapen? Poor pollination. Hand-pollinating flowers helps. Can I grow soursop in a pot? Yes. Use a large pot and move it indoors in cold weather. Do you ship to my state? Yes. Ships nationwide, with shipping calculated at checkout. Local pickup in Miami and delivery in Miami-Dade also available. Questions? Call or text Tony at 786-774-2125. Growing information is based on University of Florida IFAS Extension guidance. Passionfruit Plant from Giardino Fresco's Miami nursery

Passionfruit Plant 18"-24"+ / 1 Gal

Passionfruit Vine (Passiflora edulis) Also called passion fruit or maracuyá, this tropical vine is a backyard showstopper—producing gorgeous, egg-shaped fruits bursting with juicy, seed-filled pulp that's intensely aromatic, tangy-sweet, and perfect for fresh eating, juices, cocktails, desserts, or smoothies! These passionfruit vines produce medium-to-large, round-to-oval fruits (typically 2–3+ inches, 2–4 oz) with thick, purple (or yellow for some varieties) wrinkled skin when fully ripe—the classic sign of peak flavor. The aromatic, golden-yellow to orange pulp is jelly-like, filled with crunchy edible black seeds, and explodes with that signature sweet-tart tropical punch—strong floral notes, citrus brightness, and guava-pineapple undertones. One of the most flavorful and fragrant fruits you can grow at home! The vine grows vigorously with attractive, lobed dark green leaves, stunning white-purple flowers, and tendrils for easy climbing—reaching 10–20+ feet long if supported on a trellis, arbor, fence, or pergola (prune annually to keep it tidy and productive at 8–15 feet). Vines often begin fruiting in 1–2 years. Expect abundant crops ripening in cycles: main flush summer to fall (June–November in Florida), with potential year-round production in ideal subtropical spots. Thriving in warm, humid climates (USDA zones 9b–11; protect from rare freezes below ~28–30°F, especially young plants), these vines love full sun, well-drained soil, consistent moisture, and good airflow to minimize fungal issues. They're relatively low-maintenance once established and make excellent container plants for patios or balconies with a sturdy support. Add this exotic beauty to your garden—homegrown passionfruit that brings intense flavor, stunning flowers, and tropical vibes right to your space! Order your Passionfruit Vine today from Giardino Fresco and enjoy fresh, aromatic passion fruit straight from the vine. Ideal for: trellis/arbor growing, container/patio setups, juice & cocktail enthusiasts, pollinator-friendly gardens, and anyone craving that unbeatable tangy-sweet tropical explosion. Passionfruit growing guide Plant facts at a glance Botanical name: Passiflora edulis What ships: 1 gallon (18–24 in.+ listed) Mature size: A vigorous vine that can run 15–20 ft per year on a trellis or fence. Sun: Full sun. Water: Keep moist, especially when flowering and fruiting. Cold hardiness / USDA zones: Zones 9b–11. Purple types handle light frost, but the vine may die back. Time to fruit: Often 12–18 months from planting. Taste and uses: Juice, cocktails, desserts, curd, sauces and fresh scooping. Container vs. in-ground: Grows in a large pot with a trellis. Care Give it a sturdy trellis or fence. Feed every 1–2 months in the growing season. Vines are productive for about 5–7 years, so plan replacements. Frequently asked questions How fast does passionfruit fruit? Often within 12–18 months. Does it need a trellis? Yes. It's a climbing vine. Is passionfruit self-pollinating? Purple types are largely self-fertile. Hand pollination can help. When is it ripe? When it falls or the skin turns deep purple and starts to wrinkle. Do you ship to my state? Rows of potted moringa oleifera (drumstick tree) plants at the Giardino Fresco nursery

Moringa Oleifera Plant - Drumstick Tree

Grown by Tony in Miami. Ships nationwide, with shipping calculated at checkout. Local pickup in Miami and delivery in Miami-Dade also available. Text Tony: 786-774-2125 How to Grow Moringa in Miami: Quick Guide Sun: Full sun, 6+ hours a day. More sun means more leaves. Drainage: Moringa hates wet feet. Plant in well-drained soil, or slightly raised in our rocky Miami ground, and avoid low spots that puddle after summer rains. Water: Water regularly for the first few months, then let the top inch of soil dry between waterings. Established trees are drought tolerant. Pruning to keep it manageable: Left alone it races to 20-30 ft. Cut it back hard to about 6-10 ft (shorter in a pot) so it stays bushy and the leaves stay in reach. Harvesting leaves: Snip leafy branch tips regularly. You can start within months, and every cut pushes new growth. Harvesting pods: Pick pods young and tender, before they turn woody, and cook them like green beans. Cold: Frost kills top growth, but established trees often resprout from the base. Next step: Pick your size (24"+ or 40"+) and tap Add to cart. Questions or want help choosing? Text Tony at 786-774-2125. In Miami-Dade and want a bigger tree? Moringa, the 'miracle tree' or drumstick tree, is one of the fastest-growing, most useful edible trees you can plant. Its young leaves are rich in vitamins and minerals, and its young pods cook like green beans. Moringa (drumstick tree) growing guide Plant facts at a glance Botanical name: Moringa oleifera What ships: Potted plant, 24 in.+ or 40 in.+ (pick your option) Mature size: Fast-growing to 20–30 ft. Usually pruned to 6–10 ft for easy leaf harvest. Sun: Full sun. Water: Drought tolerant once established. Water regularly the first few months. Avoid soggy soil. Cold hardiness / USDA zones: Zones 9b–11. Frost kills top growth, but established trees often resprout. In cooler areas, treat as a container or annual crop. Time to fruit: Leaves can be harvested within months. Flowers and pods often appear in the first year or two. Taste and uses: Young leaves eaten fresh or cooked, dried into powder or tea. Young pods are cooked like green beans. Flowers are edible when cooked. Container vs. in-ground: Grows in a large pot if pruned regularly. Care Cut back hard to keep it bushy and the leaves in reach. Very well-drained soil is a must. Feed lightly, because too much nitrogen means less flowering. Frequently asked questions How fast does moringa grow? Very fast. It can add several feet in one warm season. Will moringa survive a freeze? Top growth dies, but established trees often regrow from the base in Florida. How do I harvest leaves? Snip leafy branch tips regularly. That also keeps the tree bushy. Can moringa grow in a pot? Yes, with regular pruning. Do you ship to my state? Yes. Trinitario Cacao Tree (Theobroma cacao ‘Trinitario’) – Premium Fine-Flavor Hybrid Bring the legendary “best of both worlds” cacao into your tropical garden with our healthy, vigorously rooted Trinitario cacao plants from Giardino Fresco. Born in Trinidad in the 18th century when Criollo and Forastero trees naturally cross-pollinated, Trinitario combines the complex, aromatic flavor of delicate Criollo with the hardiness, higher yields, and better disease resistance of robust Forastero. It is prized worldwide by craft chocolate makers for its rich, multi-layered profile—fruity acidity, floral notes, nutty undertones, spice, and a clean chocolate base—while remaining far more practical to grow than pure Criollo. Why grow Trinitario cacao? •  Fine-flavor beans ideal for homemade chocolate, ceremonial cacao, or simply enjoying the fresh white pulp surrounding the seeds. •  Attractive, colorful pods (often ridged and ranging from red, orange, yellow, green, to purple) that develop directly on the trunk and branches—a striking ornamental feature. •  More productive and resilient than pure Criollo, making it better suited for home gardens in warm climates. •  A true conversation-piece tropical tree that produces the “food of the gods.” Growing notes for South Florida & similar climates Trinitario thrives in partial shade to filtered sun when young, then full sun as it matures. It prefers rich, well-draining soil, consistent moisture, high humidity, and protection from strong winds and frost. In Miami and USDA zones 10–11 it can be grown in the ground; elsewhere it performs well in large containers. Expect flowers and pods once the tree is established (typically several years depending on size and care). Add this exceptional hybrid to your collection and experience the unique pleasure of harvesting your own fine-flavor cacao right at home. Limited stock of healthy, nursery-grown plants available now at giardinofresco.com. In most of our shipping states, grow it in a container and bring it in for winter. Time to fruit: Seed-grown trees often take a few years to flower. Pods grow directly on the trunk and branches. Taste and uses: Fermented and roasted seeds make chocolate and cocoa nibs. The sweet-tart white pulp around the seeds is eaten fresh or made into juice. Container vs. in-ground: Well suited to a large pot (15–25 gallons as it grows) on a shaded patio or in a bright room. Growing cacao outside South Florida In Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Louisiana, Texas and north and central Florida, treat cacao as a patio or indoor tree. Keep it in a large pot in bright, filtered light, and bring it inside when nights drop below 50°F. Raise humidity with a pebble tray or by grouping plants, and keep it away from heating vents. From pod to chocolate Harvest pods when they change color (yellow, orange or red, depending on the tree) and sound hollow when tapped. Scoop out the seeds and pulp, then ferment them covered for 5–7 days, turning daily. Sun- or oven-dry the beans, roast them, crack and winnow them into nibs, then grind. Care Use rich, well-draining, slightly acidic soil with plenty of organic matter. Mulch to keep the roots cool and moist. Feed lightly and often in the warm season. Flowers are pollinated by tiny midges. Hand pollination can help pod set. Frequently asked questions Can I grow a cacao tree in Florida? Yes, in frost-free South Florida in a sheltered, shaded spot. Tamarind Tree Grown from Seed (Tamarindus indica) Bring home one of the world’s most iconic tropical trees with this seed-grown Tamarind from Giardino Fresco. Native to tropical Africa and treasured across India, Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, and Latin America, tamarind is a long-lived evergreen prized for its feathery foliage, fragrant yellow-and-red flowers, and distinctive brown pods filled with sweet-tart pulp. That pulp is the flavor behind Worcestershire sauce, pad Thai, chutneys, aguas frescas, candies, and countless curries. These vigorous seed-grown trees offer strong roots, genetic diversity, and the classic tamarind look: fine pinnate leaves that cast light, airy shade and a spreading crown that becomes more sculptural with age. Fruit quality can vary from tree to tree—some lean sweeter, others more tart—but many produce excellent pods once mature. Expect a slow-to-moderate grower that can reach 30–80 feet in the tropics if unpruned, but is easily kept much smaller (10–25 feet) with pruning for Florida yards, large containers, or edible landscapes. Trees grown from seed typically take several years longer to fruit than grafted specimens, often beginning to bear in 6–10+ years under good conditions. Mature trees can be highly productive, with brittle brown pods that dry on the tree and are easy to harvest. Why grow tamarind? •  Unique sweet-sour fruit for cooking, drinks, and preserves •  Beautiful ornamental shade tree with fine, fern-like foliage •  Drought-tolerant once established; wind-resistant branches •  Multipurpose: fruit, shade, and traditional uses for leaves and wood •  A conversation piece for tropical collectors and food-forest growers Thrives in full sun and well-draining soil in USDA zones 10–11 (protect young trees from freezes below about 30°F). Once established it handles heat, humidity, and dry spells well—ideal for South Florida and other warm subtropical climates. Start your own tamarind journey with a healthy, well-rooted seedling from Giardino Fresco. Plant it, give it sun and time, and one day you’ll be cooking with fruit from a tree you grew yourself. Tamarind growing guide Plant facts at a glance Botanical name: Tamarindus indica Listed size: 3 gallon (24 in.+ listed) Mature size: A slow-growing, long-lived tree that can reach 40–80 ft in the tropics. Usually much smaller in home yards, and easy to keep small with pruning. Sun: Full sun. Water: Very drought tolerant once established. Water regularly the first year. Cold hardiness / USDA zones: Zones 10–11. Mature trees tolerate brief temperatures near 28°F, but young trees should be protected from frost. Time to fruit: Seedling trees often take 5+ years to bear. Grafted or air-layered trees can fruit in about 3–4 years. Taste and uses: Pods are filled with sticky, sweet-tart pulp used in agua de tamarindo, chutneys, pad Thai, candies, BBQ sauces and curries. Sweet types are good for snacking straight from the pod. Container vs. in-ground: Tolerates container culture and pruning well. It's even a popular bonsai subject. Bigger tree, fairer price Plenty of online nurseries list a 1-gallon tamarind at the price you'd expect for a 3-gallon tree. Ours is a 3-gallon tree, 24 in.+, grown in Miami, so it gets established and toward fruiting sooner. Tamarind in the landscape Tamarind is wind-resistant and handles salt spray, sandy soil and South Florida's alkaline limestone. That makes it a good shade or specimen tree in frost-free yards. In cooler climates, grow it in a large pot and protect it in winter. How to use your tamarind Agua de tamarindo: soak the shelled pulp in warm water, strain, then sweeten and chill. Sauces and chutneys: tamarind paste adds tang to pad Thai, curries and BBQ sauce. Snacking: sweet tamarind pulp can be eaten straight from the pod. Care Plant in a sunny, well-drained spot. It handles sandy, rocky and alkaline soils well. Feed young trees lightly every 2–3 months in the warm season. Shape with light pruning while young. Pods are ripe when the shell turns brown and brittle. Frequently asked questions How long until a tamarind tree fruits? Seedling trees often need 5+ years. Grafted or air-layered trees can fruit in about 3–4. Is tamarind drought tolerant? Very. Once established, it needs little supplemental water. Can tamarind grow in a pot? Yes. It tolerates pruning and container culture well. How cold can tamarind handle? Mature trees survive brief dips near 28°F. Protect young trees from frost. Do you ship to my state? Yes. Ships nationwide, with shipping calculated at checkout. Local pickup in Miami and delivery in Miami-Dade also available. Questions? Call or text Tony at 786-774-2125. Arkin Starfruit Tree (Averrhoa carambola ‘Arkin’) — The Most Popular Productive Star Fruit Variety for Home Gardens and Tropical Orchards Grow an Arkin starfruit tree and enjoy one of the most reliable, high-yielding carambola varieties available. The Arkin star fruit tree is the leading commercial sweet starfruit cultivar in Florida and the most widely planted productive starfruit variety outside Asia. Selected in Florida and named after horticulturist Morris Arkin, this Averrhoa carambola cultivar produces abundant crops of golden-yellow, star-shaped fruit with a crisp, juicy texture and balanced sweet-tart flavor. Mature Arkin starfruit trees can yield 200–350 pounds of fruit per year under good conditions, with multiple harvests possible. Young trees often begin fruiting within a few years and can produce 10–40 pounds in the early years, increasing quickly as the tree matures. The fruit is medium to large, uniform, waxy-skinned, and turns from green to bright yellow-orange when ripe. Slice it crosswise and you get the classic five-pointed star that makes star fruit a favorite garnish, salad ingredient, and fresh snack. The flesh is fiber-free, crunchy when ripe, and has a refreshing tropical taste often compared to a mix of apple, pear, grape, and citrus with mild acidity. Allow fruit to ripen fully on the tree for best sweetness. This productive starfruit variety is largely self-fertile and sets good crops even in solid plantings. It thrives in full sun, well-drained soil, and warm tropical or subtropical climates (best growth 68–95°F). Protect from strong wind, frost, salt, and waterlogged soil. Trees typically reach 15–25 feet if unpruned but respond well to pruning and can be kept smaller or grown in large containers. They are evergreen in warm locations and produce attractive pink-lavender flowers. Harvest peaks often occur in late summer/fall and winter, with some fruit available much of the year in ideal conditions. Grow your own Arkin carambola tree for a continuous supply of homegrown star fruit rich in vitamin C. Use the fruit fresh, in juices, smoothies, fruit salads, desserts, or as an edible garnish. Note: people with kidney disease should consult a doctor before eating starfruit due to oxalic acid content. A proven, productive tropical fruit tree that delivers heavy yields of beautiful, tasty star fruit. Perfect for warm-climate landscapes and anyone wanting a reliable star fruit tree. Starfruit (carambola) growing guide Arkin is the leading sweet carambola variety in Florida. Our Arkin is a 3-gallon tree, 28 in.+, a well-rooted tree that's ready to plant, for a fair price. Why Arkin? Arkin was selected in Florida and is the main sweet carambola grown commercially in the state. Its fruit is crisp, juicy and sweet with a little tang, and it's a reliable producer in home yards. Getting the best crops Plant in the sunniest, most wind-sheltered spot you have. In South Florida limestone soils, apply chelated iron and manganese to keep leaves green. In south Florida, expect main crops in late summer to winter, often with more than one flush a year. Care Feed young trees every 60–90 days with a fertilizer containing minor elements. In alkaline soils, iron and manganese sprays help prevent yellowing. Shelter from wind. Pick when the fruit is mostly yellow. Frequently asked questions How long until a starfruit tree fruits? Grafted trees often fruit in 1–2 years. Can I grow starfruit in a pot? Yes. Use a large, well-draining pot and protect it from frost. Why are my starfruit leaves yellow? Often iron or manganese deficiency in alkaline soil. Use chelated micronutrients. How cold can starfruit tolerate? Mature trees handle brief 27–29°F. Protect young trees. Do you ship to my state? Yes. Ships nationwide, with shipping calculated at checkout. Local pickup in Miami and delivery in Miami-Dade also available. Questions? Call or text Tony at 786-774-2125.
