Dwarf Everbearing Mulberry (Morus sp.), 1 gallon. A compact, self-fruitful mulberry that stays small with light pruning, which makes it one of the easiest fruit trees for a patio pot or a small yard. It produces sweet, dark berries in repeated flushes through the warm season, so you pick handfuls over many weeks instead of one short harvest.
Plant facts at a glance
- Size shipped: 1 gallon pot.
- Mature size: Easily kept at 4–6 ft with tip pruning after each fruit flush.
- Sun: Full sun for the best crop. Tolerates part shade.
- Water: Water deeply 2–3 times a week while it settles in, then when the top inch of soil is dry. Containers dry out faster in summer.
- USDA zones: 7–10 in the ground. Colder areas can grow it in a pot and shelter it in winter.
- Fruit season: Often starts in late winter or spring in Florida and keeps flushing into summer and fall after pruning.
- Container friendly: Yes. Start in a 5–10 gallon pot and move up as it grows.
Care tips
- Prune branch tips after each flush to trigger new fruiting wood.
