Chocolate & Tamarind Gift Set

Grow your own chocolate and your own tamarind. This gift set pairs two of the most unusual, conversation-starting trees we grow, both raised right here at our family nursery in Miami, with the fertilizer and soil amendment to get them off to a strong start. For the foodie, the baker or the gardener who has everything.

What's in the gift set

• Trinitarian Cacao (3 gal pot, 14+ in). The tree chocolate comes from. Trinitarian cacao is prized for rich, fruity, complex flavor, and its colorful pods grow right off the trunk. Loves a warm, sheltered spot or a large container with partial shade.
• Sweet Tamarind (24+ in, 3 gal). Sweet, tangy pods for agua de tamarindo, sauces and snacking straight off the tree. A tough, drought-tolerant tree with beautiful, feathery leaves.
• 2 lb 10-10-10 fertilizer for new leaves, strong roots and future fruit.
• Coconut coir brick (expands to 0.5 cu ft). Mix into the pot or planting hole so roots settle in fast.
